THE WEATHER

You will find warm weather during your visit to
Terres de l’Ebre at any time of the year. This southern Catalan region enjoys the Mediterranean weather with its warm summers, with lots of sunshine, and its warm winters, with some rain centred in spring and autumn. During the coldest months, the wind from the northwest blows - the Mestral - cleans the sky and allows us to see the wonderful landscape without any kind of fog. On the contrary, the Garbí is the light breeze of the summer evenings which brings the freshness of the sea and projects it inland.
In winter, the temperatures vary from a maximum of 20 degrees to a minimum of 0 degrees. The snow comes from time to time to whiten the region of Terra Alta and the highest summits of the mountain mass of Els Ports. On the contrary, in summer, the temperatures can reach 35 degrees, even though at night the presence of the sea warms up the environment and temperatures fall down to 15 degrees. This way, the stable warm weather of
Terres de l’Ebre favours the practice of activities in the open air during all year.
