RECREATIVE AREAS
Recreative areas

The recreational areas are located in properly delimited and conditioned natural spaces. They have been designed as leisure places where you are in touch with nature. Picnic and grills have often been enabled around these areas, where people can cook. We have to take into account that in drought periods it is prohibited to make a fire, even in the qualified places, to avoid fire risks.

Recreative areasThe region Terres de L'Ebre has recreational areas, both in the mountainous areas and close to the Ebro river. In the massif Els Ports, there are two important ones near the Hermitage and the fountain of Sant Roc, in the outskirts of Paüls (Baix Ebre), or el Toscà, near Alfara de Carles (Baix Ebre). In the region of Terra Alta, you will find the area around the Hermitage Virgin la Fontcalda, in Gandesa, or the Hermitage Santa Madrona, in Corbera d'Ebre. Besides, following the course of the Ebro river, some recreational areas have been enabled: the fluvial beach in Garcia, Moreres in Xerta, the fluvial promenade in Deltebre, and Pont del Rei (King’s Bridge), close to the mouth of the Ebro.

The interpretive areas are natural spaces enabled for the didactic study of the environment. In Serra de Freginals (mountain range) there is an attractive interpretive itinerary to bring us over the singularities of Serra del Montsià, during which you can also contemplate historical remains such as the Shed of Quicolis. Barraca de Quicolis.
